What an amazing Super Bowl game that was — and the ‘little guys’ won it

For a team named "the Giants," yesterday's Super Bowl winners were really more like David going up against the mighty Goliath, New England.

Sure enough, David pulled off a big win and Goliath (or at least New England Quarterback Tom Brady) came tumbling down. Lame analogy, I know, but Tom Brady spent a lot of the game falling down or scrambling away from some very large, very mean Giants linemen.

The game actually was a classic example of what football players have known all along: The team with the best defensive line generally wins the game. In this case, the NY Giants seemed to have both the best offensive line and the best defensive line. They not only whipped up on Tom Brady because their defensive line was better than New England's offensive line -- the Giants' offensive line opened up some pretty good running holes for Giant's running backs against the New England defensive line.

And when your offensive line and defensive line both dominate the game -- you can't lose.

Well done, Giants. Even though I was one of the many who wanted to see New England go 19-0 just for the historical value of it, I applaud your victory and hooray to you.
