Ah, well, sometimes it just gets so old it makes your teeth hurt, doesn’t it?? (I can’t remember who, but some sit-com character used to use that expression, “it makes your teeth hurt.” Anybody out there remember?)
I’m talking about the squabbling and arguing between the two leading Democratic presidential candidates. I just saw a clip of it on CNN. After watching that, if I were John Edwards, I’d be throwing my arms heavenward and shouting, “Thank you, Jesus!” He should have paid them money for such great straight lines — he was able to step in and look very statesmanlike as he brought their squabbles back to the realities of needy kids and the tanking economy, etc.
I posted yesterday on this theme. Can the Democrats really lead this country if they win the White House? Do we really have any choice or choices? Or is this just more two-party “Tweedle Dum/Tweedle Dee” stuff?
It’s enough to make a voter despair.
Ah, well, what do I know? I’m just a guy who reads the papers.
