If you want them to spend money researching a cure for Alzheimer's, you will need to show that 90% of Alzheimer's patients vote democrat. All of a sudden, it will become an alarming crisis of epic proportions that we will need to vote resources for ( that we don't have ) tonight, in the middle of the night. If, in January, they had decided to spend one trillion dollars researching a cure for cancer or, say, Alzheimer's, at least we would have gotten a benefit out of the pork that was spent. As it is, our children will now have to spend a significant portion of their income during their lifetime to pay for the excesses of our Government in 2008-2009. For nothing, we got zero in return. Sorry, they can’t spend more researching this, they would rather spend $500,000 on a dog park, or $2 million on Pig Odor Research.
