Is near-training-camp baseball fever drawing near for all you Cubs fans?
Okay, I know the Super Bowl isn't over yet, technically (my pick: Patriots by 14) anyway, but already I'm thinking about baseball. In the real world where I live, there are only two professional sports worth paying much attention to: NFL football and Major League Baseball. Let me be the first to remind you: MLB training camps start in less than 20 days.
Which, of course, means that you have less than 20 days to start buying your Chicago Cubs clothing for all good Cubs fans. All right, I confess, I'm really a St. Louis Cardinals fan, but there's always been a soft spot in my heart for the Red Sox and the Cubs as baseball's perennial hard-luck teams. The Sox have spoiled their reputation in recent years, but the Cubs have been faithful to their lifelong fans -- continuing each year to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.
So even I admire the tenacity of die hard Cubs fans, and I point you to this morning's "Useful Website" -- CubWorld.com, the official store for Chicago Cubs and Wrigley Field apparel and gifts. They offer a terrific selection of stuff, and they're all geared up and ready for the 2008 season. Take a look around their website, even if you're not a Cubs fan, you might find some good stuff there you want anyway.
