Ah, yes, the great ice storm of 2007 -- those of us who lived through it without electric power for days really would've appreciated one of the cozy looking gas infrared heaters at this "Useful Website," because the one and only heat source we had, uh, didn't -- heat, that is.

But that was last January. Those of us here in the Missouri Ozarks who went through that horrendous ice storm and went without power, are doing all we can to be ready if that sort of storm hits again this winter. (When the storm hit, we were told it was one of those "once in a 100 years" weather events. Hmmm. Not to sound bitter, but we went through the last one of those "once in a 100 years" ice storms at Christmas 1987. Is it just a math problem??)
