News, views, and attitude on just about everything

After awhile ‘virtual’ or ‘cyber’ world just gets to be too much

How long has it been since you’ve taken a long walk in a park, completely away from any Internet connections, and without your smartphone or netbook or even your iPad or Kindle along? (If you’re addicted to tobacco, I’ll allow you to have your cigs — or an e cigarette along, if you absolutely positively MUST cling to your high-tech universe!)

I ask such questions because the title of this article reflects a problem I personally struggle with daily: I spend far too much time hooked into the “Information Super Highway” and it’s sidekick, Mr. Cable/Satellite TV, myself. And I confess that the “overload” of news, odd news, and just plain craziness is leading me down that well-trod path to information burnout!

So let me encourage you to join me (metaphorically speaking) in a stroll through the park, or in the woods, or along the beach, by the lake, etc., first thing tomorrow.

Okay, first thing tomorrow AFTER we read the papers, then!
